Lady Knights Golf Finishes Fifth In Season Opener
Wednesday, August 26th marked the official start of the Barstow Lady Knights golf season. The team traveled to Richmond, Missouri to play in the Orrick Invitational. The tournament is a great way to kick off the season due to it's format. Each school is allowed three 2 player teams. Of the 2 players, the best score on each hole is recorded for the team score. Leading the way for Barstow was Olivia Laub and Emily Gustafson. As a team, they finished fourth with a score of 89. The team of Megan Nalamachu and Emily Hattan came in with a score of 109 and a fifteenth place team finish. Rounding out the scoring was the team of Serena Fenaroli and Hallie Navrat. Overall, Barstow finished in fifth place on the day in the team standings. Coach Taylor was proud of his girls and is looking forward to watching them progress over the course of the season.
